About

Kansas City IT Recycling, Built on Security First.

We help businesses retire computers, servers, and network gear safely. Your data is protected first, every step is documented, and whatever still has use gets put back to work.

Who we are

IT Recycling Answers is a business-to-business IT asset disposition and recycling company based in the Lee's Summit area of the Kansas City metro. We work with businesses that have retired equipment and want it handled the right way.

We keep things simple: show up when we say we will, protect the data, and hand you a receipt you can file.

How we work

Our order does not change.

  1. 01

    Security first.

Every drive is wiped or physically destroyed before anything else happens, and you get documentation for your records.

  2. 02

    Value second.

Once the data is handled, we look at what can be reused. Working equipment can be remarketed, returning value to you and keeping useful devices in service.

  3. 03

    Feedstock last.

What cannot be reused is sorted by material, so copper, boards, and magnets reach the right recovery stream. Those materials are already above ground, and we help keep them in use.

We are working toward R2 certification, and our process already follows those principles: data security, reuse first, and responsible downstream handling.

Where we work

Kansas City is home, and the metro comes first. From here we regularly serve St. Joseph, Clinton, Wichita, Manhattan KS, and Columbia. For organizations with sites farther out, we can coordinate secure pickup nationwide.

Kansas City is also a good place to do this work. The NSF Critical Materials Crossroads, the UMKC-led NSF Engine, is building the region's capacity to recover and refine the materials inside retired electronics. We are glad to work in that neighborhood.

We are based in Kansas City. Our work is simple to say out loud: already above ground, reuse when we can, and keep the rest in a domestic loop. That is circularity in practice, next to the businesses whose retired equipment becomes useful again.
